Overview

This course aims to introduce students to the characteristics of mural paintings by realizing formal aesthetics in large areas, considering this art as a means of direct communication with the masses. It also includes the development of students' skills in relation to the practice of methods of performing this art with traditional and innovative materials, such as flat oriental fresco painting and stereoscopic western frescoes with traditional or used materials. Mosaic art with natural and industrial materials>

Intended learning outcomes

After studying the course, the student will be able to read large artworks and huge murals, which serve as a means of communication between the artist and the audience. The student will be able to know all the materials related to the implementation of these murals by studying the ancient Roman, Greek, Byzantine and Islamic murals and mosaics. And the reasons for the spread of this type of business. The student learns the steps of manufacturing mosaics, the method of mixing its materials, methods of preserving it through preservation and restoration, and other methods that help in preserving it from corrosion or fragmentation.
