1. Course Objectives

1- This course is designed to assist students in developing expertise and in depth knowledge in the field of critical care technology.

2- To help students to appreciate the patient as a holistic individual and develop skill to function as a specialized critical care technologist.

Discuss the scope of practice in critical care units ,theaters and surgical department

Recognize ethical and legal issues relevant to critically ill patients in ICU

Identify critically ill patient' and their families' needs and problems

Recognize the principles of judgments and limitations of practice in critical care units
