This course is concerned with teaching the student the physiological processes that occur within the plant, such as the process of plasmolysis, diffusion and osmosis, as well as introducing the student to the process of transpiration and the difference between photosynthesis and respiration in plants.
Intended learning outcomes
1-To familiarize the student with the relationship of plants to water.
2-That the student enumerate and explain the different physiological phenomena and distinguish between them and their relationship to the plant.
3-To remember the terms related to physiological phenomena and vital processes.
4-he student explains the plant's relationship with water in terms of absorption, ascent, and exit.
5-Describe the difference between photosynthesis and respiration in plants.
Teaching and learning methods
1- The water board and pen are used to display the main elements of the lesson and write definitions and illustrations.2- The computer and the digital display screen are used to display the lecture, illustrative pictures and graphs that are not available in the department's laboratories.3- Applying laboratory experiments to some lessons, according to the available capabilities.4- Each lesson includes discussion sessions between the students and the professor to remove ambiguity and deepen understanding
