It is a course which is designed to provide high-intermediate EFL learners with knowledge of grammatical structures that enhances academic communication. Emphasis is on using high-intermediate grammatical structures in meaningful contexts through exercises.
Intended learning outcomes
By the end of this course students should be able to: To understand the usage of grammatical English structures and to develop the ability to further the learners’ knowledge of applying the grammatical structures in their own speaking and writing skills.To acquire knowledge about the types of grammatical issues that learners tend to have.To facilitate students’ understanding of lessons presented by providing exercises related to the given topics in order to check their mastery of the lectures.
Teaching and learning methods
The lecturer uses a variety of teaching methods. For example, the teacher gives classroom discussions, the use of collaborative learning by working in groups. The lecturer tries to make the class learner-centred by the use of different activities and tasks.
