This course is preliminary teaching practice, where the students are taught to apply all the strategies they have learned to become an effective teacher able to teach innovative methods. Also, in this course, the students are encouraged to use new strategies and techniques in teaching English as a foreign language to all learning levels, i.e. primary, preparatory, and secondary schools students. The students are also expected to teach all the language skills and other courses too.
Intended learning outcomes

To make the students aware of teaching
problems and how to deal with different challenges- encourage critical thinking
and problem- solving skills

To build awareness of the differences between
young learners and teenage learners, i.e. to consider needs of learners based
on age and language proficiency

To incorporate effective techniques for
classroom management, group work, and multi-level instruction into their lesson
plans
4.
To plan needs-based, objective-driven, and
skills-integrated lessons for various levels of proficiency
5.
To understand and use frameworks and
approaches to plan and implement effective listening, speaking, reading and
writing lessons
Teaching and learning methods
As the course is related to
practicing teaching, the students will be examined on a continuous basis on the
teaching practice and performance in class. At the end of the course, the students
are required to conduct micro- teaching sessions in which they apply what they
have practiced in the course.
