The course aims to acquire the student:

The concept of growth. Growth demands, laws of growth. The theoretical and applied importance of studying developmental psychology. Factors affecting the growth process - genetic factors - environmental factors - other factors). Research Methods in Developmental Psychology:( The historical curriculum - the descriptive approach - the experimental approach - the clinical approach), the stages of child development, its manifestations, gender differences, and its educational applications

Childhood problems, adolescence - concept - definition, demands of growth in adolescence. The theoretical and applied importance of studying the psychology of adolescence. Factors affecting the development of the adolescent's personality: (vital factors - environmental factors - other factors) Stages of adolescent development, its manifestations, gender differences, and its educational applications: (adulthood - early adolescence. middle adolescence - late adolescence - adolescence problems

Intended learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student becomes able to:

1. The student should explain the concept of growth, growth demands, laws of growth

2. The number of students should be the factors affecting growth and research methods.

3. The student should explain the stages of child development, manifestations and gender differences

4. The student should explain the concept and demands of growth for adolescence.

5. The student should explain the factors affecting the growth of the adolescent's personality, its manifestations and gender differences

6. The student should analyze the importance of achieving the demands of growth and observing its laws.

7. To compare the factors affecting the growth of the adolescent's personality in terms of: (vital factors - environmental factors - other factors)

8. To compare the stages of child development, its manifestations and gender differences.

9. The student should compare the concept and demands of growth in adolescence and childhood.

10. The student should explain the factors affecting the development of the adolescent's personality and compare them with the factors affecting the development of the child

11. To design a visual presentation in which he explains the demands of growth in childhood

12. The student should design a research plan in which one of the research methods in developmental psychology is used: Historical method - descriptive method - experimental method - clinical method)

13. The student should review childhood and its problems such as bedwetting through a visual presentation.

14. To employ his knowledge of adolescent problems in his career

15. To apply and evaluate his knowledge in differentiating between childhood problems and adolescence problems.

16. The student should be able to communicate and communicate in writing and orally

17. The student should be able to work in a team

18. Ability to self-learning and continuous learning

19. Ability to use computer technology and Internet networks in the search for information

Teaching and learning methods

Methods of assessments

The assessment of students in this course is distributed as follows:

(Semester 40% and final 60%)

Separation work: (40 degrees) divided between:

First written test of objective or short essay style tests (15 marks)

Second written test of objective or short essay style (15 marks)

Scientific activities (e.g. writing a report or making a presentation) (10 marks)

Final: Written exam (60 marks)
