EPSY 327 : Research Hall in Education and Psychology

Overview

The foundations of scientific research, sources of obtaining information in education and psychology. Ethics of scientific research, preparation of the research plan, formulation of the title, problem, importance and objectives of the research, identification and formulation of psychological and educational study terms in a procedural manner, formulation of the theoretical framework of the study variables, method of presenting and commenting on previous studies, formulation of hypotheses for the study and verification, statistical methods used in education and psychology.

Description of the practical part (Laboratory projects):

Panel discussions in which the students deal with topics related to scientific research and its correct scientific steps, and a practical aspect in which the applicant is trained to prepare the graduation research, and help him to identify the vital topics that can be studied by the undergraduate student, and how to prepare a research plan and compile the theoretical material by referring to what was written on the chosen topic, and then help the student teacher in writing the research proposal (work model).

Intended learning outcomes

The student must be able to:

1. The student should explain the foundations of scientific research and the methods and sources of obtaining information in education and psychology.

2. The student should enumerate the researcher's ethics in preparing the research plan according to scientific conditions.

3. The student should explain the conditions for formulating the terms of psychological and educational study in a procedural manner

4. The student should review how to formulate the theoretical framework for the variables of study in the field of education and psychology.

5. The student should show the method of presenting and commenting on previous studies

6. The student should explain how to formulate and verify the hypotheses for the study

7. The student should explain some statistical methods, employ previous studies, and formulate his recommendations and proposals .

8. The student should deduce the foundations of scientific research, methods and sources of obtaining information in education and psychology.

9. The student should analyze the researcher's ethics in preparing the research plan according to scientific conditions.

10. The student should discuss the conditions for formulating the terms of psychological and educational study in a procedural manner

11. The student should discuss how to formulate the theoretical framework for the variables of study in the field of education and psychology.

12. The student should apply the method of presenting and commenting on previous studies

13. The student should apply how to formulate and verify the assignments for the study

14. The student should discuss some statistical methods and how to employ previous studies and formulate his recommendations and proposals .

15. To design a visual presentation in which he explains the foundations of scientific research and the methods and sources of obtaining information in education and psychology.

16. To write a printed topic explaining the researcher's ethics in preparing the research plan according to scientific conditions.

17. Applies the conditions for the formulation of terms of psychological and educational study in a procedural manner

18. Diagnose the shortcomings of formulating the theoretical framework of the variables of study in the field of education and psychology.

19. Submit a working paper explaining the method of presenting and commenting on previous studies

20. Reviews through printed papers how to formulate hypotheses and verify them correctly.

21. Discusses in a visual presentation statistical methods and how to employ previous studies and formulate recommendations and proposals

22. The student should be able to operate and use the computer effectively

23. The student should be able to deal with social networks

24. The student should be able to benefit from educational sites
