Overview

Introducing the student to the concept of educational technology and its relationship to some concepts, instructional design and its processes, practicing educational activities on instructional design processes, the nature of multimedia, its production and use in teaching, electronic courses (concept, management systems, and patterns), educational technology innovations concept, characteristics, educational benefits (smart board, computer projectors, CDs, internal communication networks, mobile) and their operation. The concept of e-learning, its characteristics, objectives, origin, patterns, and use. The Internet in education, its concept, characteristics, patterns, tools (distance learning, virtual reality, virtual laboratories, social networks).

Description of the practical part (Laboratory projects):

Intended learning outcomes

1. The student should review the concept of educational technology applications.

2. The student should explain the instructional design and its processes

3. The student should explain what multimedia is produced.

4. The student should discuss the electronic courses (concept, management systems, and patterns).

5. The student should explain the innovations of educational technology in terms of concept, characteristics, and educational benefits.

6. The student should explain e-learning, in terms of concept, characteristics, objectives, origin, patterns, and uses.

7. The student should review the nature of the Internet in education, its concept, characteristics, patterns, tools
