Overview

The historical development of caring for the disabled and Islam’s care for them, the concept of identification, strategies and programs, guidance and rehabilitation of the disabled, mental retardation (concept-causes-classification-characteristics), psychological counseling for the parents of the retarded child, psychological counseling for the mentally retarded, visual disability (definition-classification-characteristics), hearing disability (concept - causes - characteristics), motor disability (concept - manifestations - characteristics), learning difficulties (concept - causes - classification - characteristics), mental superiority (concept - classification - influencing factors - characteristics.

Intended learning outcomes

The student should be able to:

1. The student should know the historical development of caring for the disabled and Islam's care for them

2. The student should explain the concept of identification, its strategies and programmes, and guide and rehabilitate the disabled

3. The student should explain mental retardation (concept-causes-classification-characteristics)

4. The student should explain the psychological guidance to the parents of the retarded child, the psychological guidance for the mentally retarded

5. The student should explain the visual disability, the hearing disability, the motor disability (definition - classification - characteristics)

6. The student should explain learning difficulties and mental superiority (concept - classification - influencing factors - characteristics.

7. The student should explain emotional disorders (concept-classification-causes-characteristics)

8. The student should discuss the historical development of caring for the disabled and Islam's care for them

9. That the student concludes the concept of identification, its strategies and programs, guidance and rehabilitation of the disabled

10. The student should review mental retardation (concept-causes-classification-characteristics)

11. The student should discuss the psychological counseling for the parents of the retarded child, the psychological counseling for the mentally retarded

12. The student should clarify the visual disability, the hearing disability, the motor disability (definition - classification - characteristics)

13. The student should compare learning difficulties and mental superiority (concept - classification - influencing factors - characteristics.

14. The student should recall emotional disorders (concept-classification-causes-characteristics)

15. The student should design a presentation explaining the historical development of caring for the disabled and caring for Islam

16. That the student explain how to identify, strategies and programs

17. The student should write an electronic essay explaining mental retardation (concept-causes-classification-characteristics)

18. To design a visual presentation explaining the psychological counseling for the parents of the retarded child, the psychological counseling for the mentally retarded

19. The student should design a worksheet showing the visual disability, the hearing disability, the motor disability (definition - classification - characteristics)

20. The student should write a scientific paper dealing with learning difficulties and mental superiority (concept - classification - influencing factors - characteristics and the role of the family in detecting, developing and caring for the gifted child. The gifted are double idiosyncratic

21. The student should design a worksheet showing emotional disorders (concept-classification-causes-characteristics)

22. The student should be able to operate and use the computer effectively

23. The student should be able to work in a group work group

24. Communicate and interact with others and form a positive idea of himself.

25. The turnout and the ability to deliver oral and positivity

Methods of assessments

Student assessment in this course is distributed as follows: (Semester work 40% and final 60%)

Term work: (40 marks)

divided between:First written test of objective tests or vignettes (15 marks)

A second written test of the type of objective tests or vignettes (15 marks)

Scientific activities (eg writing a report or giving a presentation) (10 marks)

Final: written exam (60 marks)
