This course is designed to achieve the general objectives in the form of outputs that the student is supposed to acquire after successfully completing the course, as follows:Study the theoretical and practical foundations of structural geology.Study of rock deformation and its relationship to plate tectonics.Study the emergence and development of oceanic basins and mountain belts in the world.Tectonic study of the formation of sedimentary basins.
Intended learning outcomes
By passing this course, the student is supposed to be familiar with the following practical and professional skills: 1. Use theoretical tectonic information in collecting field data and through interpreting geological maps. 2. Evaluate rock deformation through field and laboratory studies and through its impact on rock texture. 3. Possess the ability To explain the impact of regional and global tectonic movements on the geology of Libya 4. Possess self-learning skills by evaluating case studies.
