Overview

Teaching this subject is one of the important principles in the study of geography, through which the recipient can understand the distribution of land and water in various parts of the globe, as well as the location and size of each continent, the widths within which it is located, and the water bodies surrounding and affecting it, in addition to the strategy of that location and the extent of Its impact on the economic and political map of the world, so that it builds an integrated picture of the world’s geography in terms of shape, location, climate, surface features, population distribution, and the various economic wealth that exist in each continent. Therefore, the student’s success in studying this course makes him able to have a general idea of the characteristics Natural and human, and to determine on the world map the distribution of climatic and vegetation regions

Intended learning outcomes

By studying the world's geography, the student acquires several skills, including comparing the world's continents in terms of area, geological structure, surface features, distribution of water bodies and islands scattered therein, in addition to his ability to draw a mental map that shows the distribution of population, terrain features, and their distribution on the surface of the earth. As well as the ability to prepare a scientific report or paper on any natural phenomenon that he studied in a correct scientific manner

Teaching and learning methods

The teaching methods for this course include scientific lectures, working papers, drawing maps, in addition to making field visits through which the student learns about the most important natural phenomena in his country

Methods of assessments

Midterm exam: 20 marks.

Various activities: 20 marks.

Final exam: 60 marks.

The first week is the geographical location, area, geological structure, and surface features of the continent of Asia

The second week, the climatic and botanical regions of Asia

The third week is the population and economic resources of the continent of Asia

The fourth week is the geographical location, area, geological composition, and surface features of the continent of Europe

The fifth week, the climatic and vegetal regions of the continent of Europe

Sixth week population and economic resources of the continent of Europe

The seventh week: the geographical location, area, geological composition, and surface features of the North American continent

Eighth week midterm exam

The ninth week, the climatic and vegetal regions of the North American continent

Week Ten Population and Economic Resources of the North American Continent

The eleventh week is the geographical location, area, geological composition, and surface features of the South American continent

The twelfth week, the climatic and vegetal regions of the South American continent

Thirteenth week Population and economic resources of the South American continent

Week Fourteen Geographical location, area, geological composition, and surface features of the continent of Australia

The fifteenth week, the climatic and vegetal regions of the continent of Australia

Sixteenth week final exam
