The importance of regional planning is
highlighted because it facilitates directing the plan and controlling its
implementation or following it up. The regional plan gives the most appropriate
framework within which it is possible to achieve the highest rates of
development. Therefore, the success of the student in this course makes him
able to identify the concept of regional planning, its importance, types, and
its relationship to other sciences in addition to His familiarity with the
factors influencing planning, sensing the absence of some planning points in
some countries, and he studies practical planning problems in Libya
Intended learning outcomes
Through studying this
course, the student acquires several skills, the most important of which is the
ability to link the factors influencing planning and the delay of some
countries. He also masters drawing maps with developed countries schematically
distributed and comparing them with planning lagging countries to facilitate
explanation and clarification, in addition to preparing research on cities that
are not available in them. Plans locally, and becomes able to prepare plans to
deal with the problems of unplanned growth locally
