Overview

This course:

  • Identify different types of microscopes and tissue processing techniques.
  • Describe the basic structure of the cell and cell division.
  • Describe the histological structure of epithelial tissue.
  • Describe the structure and components of connective tissue

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of the course, the student will be able to:

  • Understand the essential information on histological Microtechniques.
  • Understand the basic structure, the function of the cell, the basic molecular aspects of certain cellular and tissue components (Membrane, Cytoskeleton, Matrix).
  • Identify different types of basic tissues (epithelium, connective tissue, muscle, and nervous tissues).
  • Describe special types of connective tissue
