Intended learning outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

1. Describe the basics of arthropods of public health importance

2. Identify vector - host - pathogen relationships in arthropod-borne diseases

3. Conduct studies on the epidemiology of vector-borne diseases

4. Apply modern tools for surveillance and diagnosis of vector-borne diseases

5. Design appropriate prevention and control measures including rationalization of the use health programmes.

6. Promote Integrated Vector Management.
