Overview

It is a subject taught in the fourth semester, the total balance of teaching hours, four hours per week divided into two theoretical hours and two practical hours. The course introduces the student to how to compose, write, and formulate short stories, and how to analyze and translate them. A written text that explains the way sentences are formed in the Swahili language, how they are formulated, and the arrangement of literary and narrative ideas.

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of the 14th week, the student should be able to:
  • That the student be able to compose a small piece on his lifestyle and thoughts.
  • That the student be able to develop what he hears to compose short stories.
  • The student should be able to translate simple pieces.
  • The student should be able to compose small pieces about his studies.
  • The student should be able to explain short stories.
  • The student should be able to formulate and arrange literary and fictional ideas.
