The
linguistic features of the various language use in print media will be
examined. Different types of texts, their functions and discourse will be
compared. Appropriate strategies used in translating media texts will be introduced. This course aims to examine
journalistic discourse, focus on differences in language use in print media,
follow current print media and practice translating media texts, build
journalistic terminology.
