Raising Awareness Campaign on Prevention and Treatment of Medical Waste.

On Wednesday morning, the Department of Public Relations and the Department of Information at the University of Tripoli, organized a raising awareness campaign on the prevention and treatment of medical waste under the slogan "Beware of slow  death" as part of the requirements of the graduation project of student  Amina Rashed Sultan, under the supervision of the university professor and faculty member "Mohammed al-Kasah, whereas  the scientific supervision was assigned to Dr. Wafaa Ghariani ,  the head of the Committee for the disposal of medical waste at the Ministry of Health. On the sidelines of this campaign, Dr. Wafa Al Ghariani delivered a presentation on the medical waste and expired medicines in Libya entitled "The coming danger in silence". In her presentation , Dr. Wafaa warned of the dangers of the medical waste. The campaign was held in the faculty‘s  library,  in the presence of a number of professors and students as well as  in the presence of Dr. Yousef Al-Tunisi and Dr. Hamza Bin Issa, members of the Medical Waste Disposal Committee of the Ministry of Health. The campaign included a field study targeting the public relations departments in the medical centers in addition to distributing pamphlet among the attendees of the symposium.
