Definition of special and sensitive groups, and study of the role of special nutrition, according to different cases and its impact on the manifestations of physiological, mental, and social growth

Intended learning outcomes

Successfully the student at the headquarters will be able to

Identify special and sensitive groups.

Early diagnosis of pathological conditions to avoid the aggravation of health and negative effects resulting from the lack of early intervention in nutritional therapy.

Learn about the role of special nutrition according to different cases and the nutritional needs of each group.

Learn about what is published in scientific journals related to nutrition for special groups

Infer the effect of nutrition on the physiological, mental, and social development of special groups and the problems and difficulties faced by each group

Teaching and learning methods

Lectures, practical application in hospitals, training, presentation, and reporting

Methods of assessments

Written tests and evaluations of scientific reports submitted on visits. The weight of the evaluation is 50% of the year’s work, and 50% of the final exam
