Overview

The student gets acquainted with the food problems facing the Third World, the reasons for the emergence of these problems, ways to reduce them, and identifying examples of food problems such as pollution, poisoning, and allergies

Intended learning outcomes

If the student successfully completes the course, he will be able to

Learn about the food situation and related problems in the world, with a focus on developing countries.

Identify the various diseases resulting from malnutrition

Compare the role of governmental and international institutions in planning and implementing food programs.

Explains the sources and resources of food in the world describe the relationship to the population and the environment and discuss related issues

Determines the type of food problems in developing countries

Teaching and learning methods

Lectures, assigning one of the relevant topics, researching the latest about it, presenting it and discussing it Identifying and discussing some problems related to food safety using u-TUBE, searching the Internet for new topics

Methods of assessments

A written test, an evaluation of submitted research, the weight of the evaluation is 50% of the year’s work, and 50% of the final exam
