Discuss the basic surgical anatomy and embryology of the female pelvis, physiology of menstruation and pregnancy.
Interpret patient's data in an organized and informative manner to differentiate between normal and abnormal pregnancy including their antenatal care.
Discuss normal and abnormal labor and its management
Analyze common emergency in obstetrics and their management.
Discuss common gynecological problems and formulate its management.
Give examples of different benign and malignant gynecological conditions.
Discover how to make important gynecology procedures in different situations.
Give examples of different situations used in counseling and communication

By the end of the course, the student will be able:
Acquire the student with knowledge about the basic sciences of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Expose the student to different problems and diseases of the pregnant woman.
Enable students to differentiate between normal and abnormal labor.
Provide the students with basic knowledge about the serious gynecological problems and diseases
Apply an appropriate knowledge and skills about important gynecological procedures.
Introduce the students with basic knowledge of counseling and communication skill
