Overview

· Introduce students to the basic principles of immunology and serology and their important role in forensic investigations.

· Familiarize students with specific blood groups routinely used in forensic investigations as well as the distribution of blood groups among the population

· Introduce students to the scientific methods and techniques used to detect biological samples at crime scenes.

· Familiarize students with the legal and forensic implications of biological evidence and the limitations of interpreting data when used as evidence in courtroom testimony.
