Overview

· Determination of clinical signs of infection in fish populations that live in nature or in confined spaces such as aquaculture.

· Identify common diseases of fish using appropriate diagnostic procedures

· Know the most important causes of fish diseases and how to distinguish them.

Intended learning outcomes

Student is to be familiar with the basic principles of taxonomy & scientific nomenclature.

A.2

Student is to be familiar with the different groups of insects in their taxonomical orders, name and their identifying morphological characters directly or using taxonomical keys.

· Laboratory lessons.

· Two field visits.

· Entomological collection (each student collects, preserves and classifies a collection of insect samples).
