Overview

This course aims to clarify the theory of economic policies more than focusing on the policies themselves. It aims to clarify the basic principles such as the concept of policy, how and conditions for setting goals, defining the tools used to achieve the goals and the effects resulting from these tools, and how to measure these effects, in addition to studying some of the policies that were applied in the past. in different schools of thought.

Intended learning outcomes

First - knowledge and understanding:1- The student should know in general the concept of economic policy.2- The student should know the tools of economic policy.3- That the student understands the relationship between objectives and policies.Second - mental skills:1- That the student links between study and application.2- That the student distinguishes conflicting economic objectives.3- The student should use the knowledge he acquired in knowing the formulas and means of financial policy.4- The student should compare the public spending policy and the tax policy.Third, practical and professional:1- Enhancing the student's ability to use what he studied in professional applications.2- The ability to understand and research economic policy books and extract useful information from them3- The ability to write research and participate in seminars

Teaching and learning methods

Midterm exam 40%, final exam 60%.
