Intended learning outcomes

By the end of the 12th week, the student should be able to: • To familiarize the student with the types of offshore platforms • The student should describe the systems and devices of offshore rigs • The student should explain in detail how the process of drilling oil wells takes place in the marine environment • The student should know the risks related to the drilling of oil wells and their impact on the marine environment and how to avoid them • The student solves the mathematical operations related to the design of marine rigs and determines the loads affecting them • The student should be able to perform calculations related to the design of oil wells In terms of acquiring skills, the student who passed this course should have developed his communication abilities, writing (written exam), interpersonal communication (working in groups and making an oral presentation), and problem-solving.
