This course provides the
student with an definition of mineral resources in terms of location, chemical
analyzes and durability requirements. The student is also introduced to modern
techniques in exploration and investigation. The student is also introduced to
equipment tests, their performance, types of reserves and their determination,
and general tests of rocks.
Intended learning outcomes
By the end of the course, the student should be able to:● Identification of mineral ores● Learn about excavation and exploration work● Knowledge of the auxiliary conditions in the economics of mining● Comparison between metallic and non-metallic minerals● Suggesting the best examples of mineral inclusions exploitation● To know the industries based on mineral ores● Acquisition of experience in the exploitation of mineral inclusions● The ability to conduct analyzes of mineral ores
