By the end of the course the student will be able to: · Identify adult insects to order and family using taxonomic literature and dichotomous keys, and sometimes identify common insects to family by sight. · Collect insects in different habitats using a variety of techniques. · Curate insect specimens properly, including labeling, pinning, mounting, and preserving insects for scientific study |
