Partial differential equations; heat conduction equation; separation ofvariables; waves and vibrations in strings; wave equation; D'Alembert's solution;longitudinal vibrations in an elastic rod; two dimensional stress systems; solution ofNavier's equations by the application of Fourier transforms; Laplace equation.
