Overview

• Landscape Design is from the compulsory courses in this department. It studies basic subjects: the development of gardens through different ages, different styles of gardens, natural and non-natural factors affecting the design - garden distribution, types of gardens - its objectives - its design - the factors for its success.

Intended learning outcomes

Successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

1. Explain the basics and principles of historical development and different styles of gardens.

2. Distinguish the general rules for designing and planning gardens and the influencing factors.

3. It explains the coordination of different plants inside the garden with garden furniture, according to the nature of their growth, size, flowering nature, flower color, and other aesthetic characteristics of these plants.

4. Determine the good distribution and planning of gardens

5. Distinguish the different types of gardens and how to establish economic feasibility for each type of these garden

1. Theoretical and practical lectures

2. Discussion and expressing opinions about the scientific material

3. Practical mapping.

4. Visit the surrounding gardens and learn about their different designs.

5. Presentation of visual materials (recorded scientific videos of the types of gardens and how to implement them)
