Overview

1. The course is intended for the management factors of disease prevention.

2. Flock placement and management, Breeder flock management, and Hatchery management

3. Disease surveillance and sanitary environments

4. Monitor the vaccination program

Intended learning outcomes

A. Knowledge & understand

A.1 The student can know the management factors for disease prevention in poultry farms.

A.2 The student understands the control of disease in the hatchery.

A.3 The student recognizes the methods of surveillance.

A.4 The student understands the role of sanitary programs

B. Mental skills (Intellectual capacity)

B.1 The student is capable to avoid fatal mistakes, which destroyed poultry production in hatcheries and farm

B.2 The student is able to improve hatchability in the hatchery by following sanitary programs.

B.3 The student can design a specific vaccination program for each individual farm

B.4 The student is able to choose effective antibiotics and disinfectants to control a disease

C.1 The student can apply the management factors schedule to different types of breeding farms and hatchery

C.2 The student can apply the sanitary program to save poultry houses, Hatchery, and the environment

C.3 The student can perform a Surveillance program of certain diseases

C.4 The student can demonstrate and apply the vaccine

D. Generic and transferable skills

D.1 The student is able to advise the stockholder, and owners about the disease Biosecurity estimation in a poultry farm.

D.2 The student is able to introduce biosecurity programs.

D.3 The student can explain to the owner and government the importance of management, sanitary programs, vaccination programs…… etc, in poultry farms

D.4 The student can explain to the owner the impact of the misuse of antibiotics.
