Overview

This course deals with the study of all adjectives, demonstrative pronouns, as well as interrogative pronouns, the use of standard and non-standard verbs for the present, past, and future tenses, and how to distinguish between tenses, especially the recent past tense and the imperfect past tense. The student also learns the use of simple and compound prepositions, and all kinds of adverbs.

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of the 14th week, the student should be able to:
  • Use demonstrative pronouns to refer to people and things near and far.
  • Master the use of interrogative tools in order to ask about people and things such as names, types, sizes, colors, numbers, quantities, knowing the time, etc.
  • Learn how and when to use simple and compound prepositions and the difference between them.
  • Understand the structure and use of the present tense, the recent past, and the past imperfect and how to distinguish between them.

Teaching and learning methods

  • Differentiated Education Method: This method takes into account the students' characteristics, abilities, talents, and the method they prefer to learn, in order to reach single learning outcomes using various methods and tools.
  • Problem-solving method: motivating each student separately in order to find solutions to the educational problems that he faces alone or in cooperation with his colleagues. The role of the professor lies in guiding the student.
