Overview

In this course, the student studies the basic principles of veterinary surgery, such as types of wounds and their treatments. Dealing with emergency surgical injuries such as bleeding and other injuries that threaten animal health.

Intended learning outcomes

The students should be able to describe the cause, clinical symptoms, investigations, treatment and prognosis of the most important general surgical affections. Students should be able to recognize their knowledge and understanding of general surgery to analysis and discussion of the scientific literature. Students should be able to search for the most recent publication in his/her area of study and capable to extract and summarize the data
