This course is considered an extension of the previous course, Comprehension and Written Expression 2, as it aims to develop the skills of comprehension and written expression among beginning students. The lecture begins with understanding a written text, then the students are asked to write a similar text, and they are corrected collectively and given notes.
Intended learning outcomes
By the end of Week 14, the student should be able to:
Extracting specific information in simple writings such as letters, brochures and short newspaper articles describing events and understanding the main points of short texts dealing with everyday topics (e.g. lifestyle, hobbies, sports, weather).
Use sample sentences and memorized sentences in new contexts. He may request or convey detailed personal information in writing and begins to use different tenses in his writing (past compound and past continuous tense)
