Overview

The form of the subject (Grammar) is a basic and important pillar in teaching and learning the foreign language in general and French in particular. It is integrated with other subjects within the teaching curricula as it enhances what is acquired of other general knowledge related to the use of the French language in all aspects of life, and controls the students’ language from The various grammatical aspects and within the scientific level specified within the methodological method approved for use in the department, so the student learns the conjugation of verbs in different tenses, the use of the singular and the plural at an advanced level than what he learned previously, and the grammatical signs such as hyphenation, addition, and others. In general, through this subject, the student is experiencing a stage of what can be called framing what he has learned previously and in other courses and codifying his linguistic knowledge within a level of sound linguistic structures and formulations. Therefore, this subject is complementary to all other subjects and helps the student in developing his acquisition and deepening his awareness of the new linguistic concepts that It is dealt with from time to time.

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of the 14th week, the student should be able to:
  • Full knowledge of the basic ways of conjugating verbs in the language, especially those that are irregular according to the general rule.
  • Developing the student’s thinking methodology and his conviction that language consists of vocabulary, words, and actions, but the regulating factor is the rules and good organization of linguistic formulation in terms of its proper and grammatical construction.
  • Through joint applications, the student can be able to rely on himself in overcoming the difficulties he faces in language acquisition, feel a sense of self-responsibility, and participate positively in the success of the educational process.
