Overview

In general, the course aims to provide the student with general French language skills to perform some daily tasks such as searching for housing or reading the menu of dishes in a restaurant. The course targets four language skills: oral expression and comprehension, written expression and comprehension. The course is based on the student book Alter Ego A1.1, Units Eight and Nine.

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of the 14th week, the student should be able to:
  • Writing a list of purchases and determining quantities.
  • Talking about past memories and putting events in their temporal context.
  • Search for housing and read real estate ads.
  • Describe a residence and identify the functions of the rooms of the house.
