Overview

The course aims to introduce French literature in general and literary texts in particular, and train students in criticism and analysis, as well as linking parts of a single text and comparing it to some literary texts from other trends, and distinguishing the beauty factor in expressions, description, and idea to help them improve style, reading, and literary production.

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of the 14th week, the student should be able to:
  • Identify the type of text you want to study.
  • His literary current.
  • Analyze it.
  • Knowing the writer, his orientations and opinions, and giving an overview of him.
  • Comparing different texts of literary currents with different orientations.
