Overview

This course aims to acquaint the student with how to write correctly without spelling errors and how to change the meaning by adding some letters at the end of words. It also aims to acquaint the student with the derivation of words that have the same root. As well as knowing how to transform some nouns and adjectives according to gender and according to the singular and plural.

Intended learning outcomes

By the end of the 14th week, the student should be able to:
  • Write simple words correctly
  • Know the meanings of some simple words by referring to the origin of the word
  • Distinguish between characteristics such as gender and number
  • Knowing how to write vowels within a word
  • Distinguish between words with similar pronunciation

Methods of assessments

  • Attendance is 5 marks
  • Assignments and tests, 15 marks
  • Midterm exam of 20 marks
  • Final exam (written), of 60 marks.
