Overview

This course includes the concept of late Adulthood and its implications for nursing practice from holistic perspectives. It focuses on the intervention for health promotion, health maintenance. Disease prevention and self-care unique to older adults to ensure their overall well-being.

The study of infection Control and Communicable Disease Nursing will provide the students’ knowledge and skills on the different diseases that is transmitted directly or indirectly from one person to another. It aims to identify what and how diseases are transmitted and the measures to prevent infection.

Students will be equipped with basic concepts in Palliative Care, holistic patient care and pain management. It also offers spiritual care and counsel about end of life decisions among families of clients requiring Palliative care.
