Overview

This course provides opportunities for actual hospital experiences to ensure that competencies are developed in the nursing care management of clients with problem in oxygenation (Cardiovascular, Peripheral Vascular and Hematology) and endocrine.

Intended learning outcomes

Knowledge and understanding:

1.Recalls nursing skills learned in preparation for clinical practice

2.Determine the types of various physical assessment needed by the client in various situations

3.Recognizes nursing responsibilities related to the practice of nursing skills

Mental skills:

1.Discuss the specific rationales involved for every nursing procedures

2.Determine the scope of care to be given to the client in the performance of the nursing procedures

3.Distinguishes equipments and materials needed for every nursing procedures

4.Discuss some conditions related to the patient’s case Signs and symptoms, nursing management and treatment

5.Determine some respiratory conditions based on proper assessment and quality nursing care

Scientific and professional skills:

1.Demonstrate properly and correctly basic nursing skills needed in assigned areas.

2.Discuss specific nursing interventions applicable to specific emergency

3.Demonstrate guide on chemotherapy and managing effectively

General skills:

1.Exhibits appreciation the value of nursing care to other members of the health team

2.Develop ability to deal with different kinds of client, paramedical team in care for client with cardiac, respiratory ,endocrine, oncology, and cancer related disorders

3.Design aseptic techniques related to patients who will undergo surgery

4.Develop ways to patient’s health related to respiratory conditions

5.Design Nursing Care Plan to client with cardiovascular conditions, respiratory problems, endocrine problems and oncologic conditionsPresent a Case study of client with medical conditions
