This course provides opportunities for actual hospital experiences to ensure that competencies are developed in the nursing care management of clients with problems in neurologic, eye, ear, nose, and throat, musculoskeletal and cellular aberration. This exposure also gives the Fourth year students opportunities to practice leadership roles and managerial abilities as they are given the chance to assume the role of a Head Nurse and as a Clinical Instructor.
Knowledge and understanding:
1.Discuss the different clinical disorders, its manifestations, treatment and nursing interventions in various wards.2.Analyze the specific nursing care and management of each disease and related nursing implication
3.Describe the different nursing procedures and activities in the different clinical areas
4.Describe the roles and functions of a clinical instructor and their responsibility thru shadowing.
Mental skills:
1.Recognize critical areas in the nursing process when assessing client’s health needs2.Interpret data and formulate workable nursing care plan
3.Prioritize nursing interventions in the care of a client in varied settings
4.Review medical and surgical emergencies and other related activities
5.Familiarize with the responsibility of PCI thru shadowing.

1.Obtain a comprehensive data for an accurate assessment of health status2.Apply the nursing process in rendering nursing care to varied situations
