Overview

The aim of this course is to introduce an introduction to distribution theory including: Student’s knowledge of the basic probability theory, , random variables, their types, and properties, the name of the distribution, the mathematical formula of its functions, and some of its properties and applications. This course will also provide famous discrete probability distributions, famous continuous probability distributions, the central moments, the non-central moments, the moment generating function, and the probability-generating function

Intended learning outcomes

. Identify the probability distribution of actual data based on its probabilistic behavior.

2. Know some special distributions and behavior of probability functions.

3. Developing the skill of group communication through group tasks assigned to the student.

4. Deduce the relationship between central moments and the moment-generating function.

5. Employing the concept of the moment-generating function in finding the properties of probability distributions.

6. Develop his mental abilities through the use of brainstorming strategy.
