Overview

This course includes studying coordinate systems and their relationship to each other, understanding vectors, finding the equation of a straight line in its various forms, writing the equation of a circle and identifying its properties, explaining conic sections of their types and determining the difference between them from the function statement, and solving equations in polar coordinates

Intended learning outcomes

1. To know coordinate systems and their relationship to each other. 2. To understand vectors and the algebraic operations on them. 3. To draw the equation of a straight line in its various forms. 4. To know the circle and write the equation of the circle in its various forms. 5. To understand conic sections graphically and algebraically. 6. Determine the difference between the conic sections of the function statement. 7. To solve problems involving equations with polar coordinates.
