Department

Department of Mathematics

Academic Program

Bachelor in Mathematics

Type

Compulsory

Credits

02

Prerequisite

GS201

Overview

The main objective of studying mathematics teaching methods is to provide the student with the methods used and appropriate for teaching various mathematics topics, the mechanism for their implementation, knowledge of the characteristics of the mathematics teacher, dealing with individual differences among students, knowledge of the teaching methods that can be used, and knowledge of the different methods of evaluation, in preparation for the field study and beyond. .

Intended learning outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to determine the appropriate teaching method for any mathematics lesson, and how to apply it correctly, and the student will be able to construct an achievement test in an appropriate manner, and he will have a clear vision for classroom management.

Teaching and learning methods

Several methods are used to complete this course, such as micro-teaching, lecture, self-learning, cooperative learning, learning using flipped classrooms, and e-learning using all possible means of illustration.

Methods of assessments

Evaluation is done using oral tests by 10%, written tests by 80%, assigning some tasks such as scientific research by 5% and preparing a plan to explain a lesson in mathematics by 5%
