Prerequisite

Overview

The main objective of studying general mathematics 1 is to build the student’s foundation in mathematics due to the important basics contained in this course, beginning with groups, then periods, then solving inequalities, down to functions and their types, finding the end of the function, and studying continuity in preparation for the derivation. This course is a beginning and an introduction to all other courses.

Intended learning outcomes

After completing this course, the student will be able to deal with important mathematical concepts such as limits, continuity, differentiation, graphic representation of functions, range and extent of functions, and others.

Teaching and learning methods

Several methods are followed to complete this course, such as lecture, self-learning, learning using flipped classes, studying, and e-learning using all possible means of explanation

Methods of assessments

Evaluation is done using oral tests by 10%, and written tests by 80%, and assigning some tasks such as solving exercises by 10%.
