Overview

The course aims to provide the student with the ability to identify the basic concepts and principles of project planning, to teach the student the importance of distinguishing between private and public projects, the factors influencing the selection of projects and the parties related to projects, to define the importance of project management and organizational structures and to distinguish between them, and to clarify the role of the project manager and the work team.

Intended learning outcomes

a. Knowledge and understanding.• Introducing students to the basic concepts of project planning.• Introducing the student to the objectives of the project, the factors influencing it, and how to choose and manage it.• Introducing students to the types and importance of organizational structures for projects, their advantages and disadvantages, and comparing them• Introducing the student to the role of management in managing projects and developing successful plans and its role in encouraging project managers, providing capabilities and facilitating their tasks.• Introducing students to the importance of feasibility studies and the extent of their contribution to the selection of successful projects and their advantages.B- Mental skills:• The student develops the ability to recognize the basic concepts and basics of project planning.• That the student master how to compare between the types of projects and how to choose them.• Giving students the ability to choose projects, how to manage them, and determine priorities in selection.• To develop in the student the ability to manage projects, study the organizational structures of projects, choose the best of them, and know their advantages and disadvantages.C- Scientific and professional skills:• The student should understand the basic concepts of project planning, its basic principles, selection factors and the parties involved in the project.• The student should use the knowledge gained in the ability to draw conclusions and provide proposals and solutions for project management.• That the student understands the objectives and purpose of the projects and the different types in order to determine the preference of them.• The student should compare the organizational structures of the projects and diagnose their most important advantages and disadvantages and choose what is in line with the projects and how to manage and plan them.• Formation of scientific and professional cadres capable of participating in preparing plans and raising the performance of traditional management.D- General Skills:• Giving the student skills represented in dealing with his superiors and colleagues at work, communicating with them, and communicating his suggestions and point of view.• Developing the student's ability to persuade and defend his point of view in a scientific manner based on facts and evidence.• Developing the student's problem-solving skills and enabling him to keep up-to-date with new information on this subject.• Developing the student's ability and skill in writing research, preparing it, and participating in studies related to project planning.
