Overview

A theoretical subject based on the course General Sport 1 and General Sport 2 and an introduction to mechanics. The student studies the calculation of the center of mass of a particle system and knows how to derive and calculate the momentum of a particle and the particle system. Students learn the concept of elastic and inelastic collision. The student analyzes theoretically and practically some types of motion such as translational motion and rotational motion

Intended learning outcomes

The student should increase the terms of mechanics used as momentum and impulse, and the student has the ability to understand the movements of the centers of mass and relative coordinates, to explain the importance of mechanics and its role in understanding some phenomena in daily life such as collisions, to deduce the system of continuous bodies and calculate their center of mass, to distinguish the relationship between the amount of motion, thrust, movement of the center of mass and the movement of rolling objects..

Teaching and learning methods

1-Theoretical lectures combined with various examples in each topic2-Solving various exercises and issues collectively or individually inside the classroom.3- Using different references, whether they are books or electronic networks.4- Solve exercises and issues related to the topics to help the student understand the foundations.

Methods of assessments

First midterm exam in the fifth or sixth week with homework exercisesSecond midterm exam in the eleventh week with homework exercisesEnd of semester exam
