Overview

The course aims to enable students to understand general chemistry, including gases and solutions, chemical equilibrium, acids and bases, reaction kinetics, and acid equilibrium.

Intended learning outcomes

• That the student understands the basics of general chemistry.• That the student understands the mathematical applications of the gas laws• The student should compare the properties and types of solutions and be aware of the units of concentration, solubility, and vapor pressure of the solutions.• The student should understand the chemical equilibrium and the relationship between KC, Kp and the factors affecting the chemical equilibrium "Le Chatelier's principle and calculating the pH.• The student should understand acids and bases and their multiple definitions and strong acids and bases. The student should understand solubility, solubility product, and the effect of the common ion on solubility.

Teaching and learning methods

1. Scientific lectures interspersed with the analysis of issues.2. Collect information and research papers with assignments.
