Prerequisite

PH476

Overview

1- Introducing the devices and getting used to their use, how to conduct experiments, and acquire the skill of observation and conclusion.2- Clarify theoretical ideas in nuclear physics practically and link theory and experimentation.3- Developing the student's skills by writing laboratory reports.4- The student should go deeper into finding an explanation for the results of the experiments. The student should recognize the importance of using safety means inside the laboratory-5

Intended learning outcomes

. - The student should acquire sufficient skills to design and conduct experiments.- The student should be able to graph the data and values taken from the experiment- The student should distinguish between the devices and the methods of connecting them in the laboratory.- The student should explain the results of the experiments through laboratory discussion. - The student should understand the theoretical physical concepts and understand the importance of laboratory experiments and their correct implementation

Teaching and learning methods

- Explanation on the board to illustrate the theoretical side of an experiment.- Connecting devices and tools.- Printed sources showing action steps for each experiment.- Using the electronic information network for scientific discussion of each experiment

Methods of assessments

Interaction, participation and attendance during the performance of experiments during the semester 10% Writing laboratory reports in a typical scientific way during the semester 30% as each report has its own evaluation grade and the midterm exam (practical) in the sixth week by 20%, and the final exam at the end of the semester at a rate of 40%. And in two stages - the practical exam by 20% and the theoretical exam by 20%
