Overview

This course aims to make student familiar with the computer operating system and possesses the ability to use Word text editing software and the ability to use Excel electronic spreadsheet program in addition to the ability to use PowerPoint presentation software

Intended learning outcomes

§ How to use and operate a computer

§ How to edit text documents using MSWord

§ How to prepare a workbook for MS Excel worksheets or statistical tables

How to prepare MS PowerPoint presentations.

Teaching and learning methods

Practical lectures, Lab work and exercises, Compilation of data and concepts through tasks given after each topic covered.

Methods of assessments

§ Practical & theoretical Midterm exam1: 20 %

§ Practical & theoretical Midterm exam2: 20 %

§ Quizzes :10 %

§ Practical & theoretical Exam: 50 %

A 50 % is required for a pass in this course.
