Overview

The first objective of the course is to provide the student with a variety of suitable materials for developing writing. Students are introduced to the sentence to help them to identify its parts and types. Then, they deal with some types of sentence problems to avoid such problems. They also deal with capitalization rules, spelling and punctuation to improve their writing.

Intended learning outcomes

1. Define the sentence in the English text and mention its components

2. He explains the types of sentences with examples (simple, compound, complex,......)

3. It distinguishes errors in writing sentences in a particular text (run-on sentences, fragment, clustering, wordiness,...)

4. Classifies numbering tool types according to their use in English

5. It uses processing phase techniques to crystallize thoughts of its text (brainstorming,.....)

6. Writes an assessment of a colleague's or colleagues' writing

7. Effective communication with colleagues
