The course of economic sociology aims to introduce economic sociology and shed light on the contributions of scholars to the emergence and development of economic sociology and to explain and interpret economic issues from a sociological perspective. It includes the components of the economic system (production, distribution and consumption) and includes the system of specialization, division of labor, wages, aspects of the formal and informal system, planning and development.
Intended learning outcomes
The student's understanding of the fields of economic sociology and the ability to link the theoretical side with the realistic side, interpretation of economic behavior, analysis and dialogue, and the development of awareness of economic activity as a sociological activity based on work relations.
Teaching and learning methods
The teaching of the course depends on two theoretical and practical aspects: the theoretical through the explanation of the course and the practical aspect through discussion on economic sociology topics to provide the student with the skills of knowledge, perception and practice.
Methods of assessments
The class work score is 40% of the final total, divided into 30% midterm exams and 10% research and discussion inside the lecture hall.
